Annual Meeting 2024 Swiss Society of Tropical Medicine and Parasitology
Venue
The annual meeting will take place at SUPSI in Mendrisio. It includes the annual scientific meeting and the annual general assembly of all members of the society. It forms an integrating forum where the emphasis is put on interdisciplinary aspects and critical dialog from basic research to the clinics of parasitology, tropical medicine and global health.
Our exciting programme is headlined by two outstanding keynote speakers:
Marco Gaia, Federal Office of Meteorology and Climatology MeteoSwiss: "Climate change in Switzerland and abroad"
Marieta A. H. Braks, National Institute for Public Health and the Environment, the Netherlands: "There is nothing simple about vector control"
The meeting will cover several sessions, for which abstracts can be submitted:
- Vector-borne Diseases and Climate Change
- One Health of Vector-borne Diseases
- Molecular Parasitology, Diagnostics and Interventions
- One Health, Planetary Health of Human and Veterinary relevance
In addition, SUPSI will offer a guided tour in the building, and there will be prices for the best students' contributions (poster and presentation).
We will have plenty of room for strengthening our networks with new and old friends and colleagues during lunch and coffee breaks as well as at the conference dinner on 6 June 2024 in the Grotto Loverciano.
